Quite often we see colours entering the interior trends of the year and become likeable for years to come. There has been a transition from darker colours to light, and from pale backgrounds to bolder colour pallets.
From Pinks and Greens, Designers have now shifted focus onto other bold colours, one of which is navy blue. This colour has been turning up in a lot of room schemes that have used navy blue as an accent colour to create rhythm and contrast. Blue creates a calming environment , but when presented in bold stone patterns it can be choice colour for uplifting moods.
At Cullifords we have many interesting natural stones that can accommodate this trend and take your kitchen, bathroom or living area to the next level. Leaving your future guests stunned at the beauty of the natural stone used.
The first natural surface on the list is Fusion Blue a Brazilian quartzite. It has deep blues in wave pattern giving the essence of the ocean. The different finishes also create a difference between themselves; the polished is livelier and shiny whilst the honed/satin finish creates a duskier colour. The material could change the atmosphere of any area whether you use it as a feature wall or kitchen island or even in the bathroom.
Next in line is a beautiful new material that Cullifords have received is from Zambia; it’s a granite called Katuba Blue. The stone has fantastic rich blues fire across a moody grey background. The Blue is a type of sodalite, very hard and glassy, which is complimented by the muted tones of the grey background. A truly stunning stone. Perfect for statement islands or wall features.
Moving on to the next material that Cullifords has is a material named Royal Blue also known as Sodalite. This material is luxurious and if you have the budget for it then it would enhance your home immensely. It is a spectacular marble from Bolivia, a rare find. It’s a super high end, blue marble with tones of gold that really bring this piece together. If you need a big statement feature then this material would deliver exactly that.
An all-time favourite stone at Cullifords is Lemurian Blue, a granite quarried in Madagascar. It structures rich shades of blue, green, black and turquoise. The high end granite is rich in labradorite which is a mineral that displays the lustrous colours which are formed by internal fractures that reflect light. When the light hits in different angles, the turquoise fractures light up expressing amazing deep galactical colours.
Lastly a Nordic traditional stone would be fitting to this upcoming colour trend. Quarried in Norway from the family company Lundhs, it is a Larvakite which contributes to its excellent properties. It is the lightest colour in Lundhs´ portfolio, with a grey background sprinkled with large ice-blue crystals. This stone which is 100% natural is one of the hardest and strongest stones from our natural stone collections. It is resistant to UV rays, heat, water and boasts little to no absorption, meaning it can be used in versatile spaces, indoors and outdoors.
Cullifords have a huge range of natural stones and these are just some of the stones that we have listed. We hope this gives you a better understanding of our impressive range and that we can cater to all types of tastes, whatever the current trend may be.
