Volcano Quartzite (aka, Phoenix or Rainbow) is quarried in Brazil, and it is famous for its unique composition, colour, and natural beauty. In Brazil, minerals are carried through the sand grains by groundwater, creating some of the most unique and colourful quartzites in the world. There are more than 300 export processing plants in Brazil for natural stone, as well as hundreds of quarries and blocks being exported to Italy, China, India, and Taiwan where the stone can be processed. Volcano quartzite is a metamorphic rock that forms when sandstone is subjected to heat and pressure. It is composed mainly of quartz, which makes it very hard and durable.
